The Lucky Country?

The autumn sea smeared blue
Somnolent beneath the still-warm sun
Lightly brushed by balmy air kisses

A man and a
woman in a bikini
are arranged prettily
on the soft warm sand

Hush and you hear the
Joyful cries of children
As they toboggan down
The long tongue of sand
That unrolls from the dunes

Drowsy sun-drugged bodies
Fat and round like seals
Lie spattered across
The golden beach

Towering behind the headland
Black clouds fester and writhe
