How Does Your Life Sound?

follow the clear waters of a rainforest stream
along shaded banks and mossy slipped rocks

hear the delicate whisperings of hidden flows
murmuring amongst the undulent greenery and
gently trilling through the confiding clefts in stone

pouring water
thin tendrils wobbling
like translucent pencils

bright water
hastening across cobblestones,
dribbling though splits in wedgewood

sensual water
in coitus with throaty orifices
smattering on flat wetness below

industrious water
squeezing through a narrow chute
like frog spawn

quiet water
pulling little surface tears like stretched nylon
before disappearing over the lip

swirling water
in a black cavern of gurgles and bubbles
hollowed-out amphitheatre in rock

slow-drifting
detritus-carrying water
indolent and broad

listen! listen to your life
shaped by the channels of your mind
how does it sound?
