Entanglement

150,000 years ago and
the gatling gun bullets of the
sun’s broadside cavitate slow motion
through a treacle of hydrogen plasma;
meanwhile, born of Mitochondrial Eve,
the tumbleweeds of humanity
jawbone across a hostile world

12,500 years ago and
having jinked about the core for epochs
photons swarm their solar inauguration and
shimmer through the radiant circumspace;
while spear-hunting, flame-casting,
shape-creating, story-spinning tribes
sow themselves into a fertile crescent

today and
convulsed by crucible writhings, the
final effervescence detaches from its foundry
and effulges the earth in vivifying light;
as silicon chip augmented humans
are trapped like flies in a web
sticky with irresistible bits

1,000 years into the future and
the cyborgs have created a Dyson sphere
to enclose the sun and entrap
all that it can give;
while space-farers of the cybernet
are laser-riding to new stars
ripe for cosmic capture
